Your food and health-related data deserve careful handling.

Bite2Burn uses information only to operate the app, estimate nutrition, personalize activity estimates, maintain scan quota, and support your account. We do not sell health-related or personal data.

Information we process

Account identifiers supplied through Sign in with Apple.
Birth year, height, and weight you choose to enter for personalized estimates.
Food photos submitted for AI analysis and the resulting estimated foods, calories, and macros.
Optional Apple Health steps, active energy, and workout data, only after your permission.
Purchase and quota records needed to provide subscriptions and scan packs.
Operational records used for reliability, cost control, and abuse prevention.

Photos and AI processing

Food photos are resized and stripped of unnecessary metadata before upload. They are used to complete the requested analysis. Bite2Burn does not place AI provider keys in the app. AI requests pass through our protected backend.

Apple Health

HealthKit access is optional and read-only. HealthKit data is not used for advertising and is not sold.

Sharing and retention

We share data only with service providers needed to operate Bite2Burn, subject to appropriate safeguards, or when legally required. Shared result cards exclude body measurements.

Your choices

You may decline HealthKit access, edit detected foods, delete app history, or use “Delete All My Data” in Settings to request deletion of your profile and stored data. Some purchase records may be retained where legally required.
